Level 4 Diploma in International Tourism and Hospitality Management

Overview

The Diploma in International Tourism and Hospitality Management is designed at Level 4. It aims to equip learners with the knowledge of tourism, its principles, advantages and disadvantages and underlines the key concepts of tourism and current practice. It provides an all-encompassing view of the impact of tourism on rural, local, national and international destinations and uses case studies to further enhance this. These units have been designed to enhance employability prospects for learners, and equip learners with the knowledge to succeed in the industry.

Structure

The course is structured as follows:
Unit 1: Tourism Impacts and Sustainability (15 Credits)
Unit 2: Tourism Destinations (15 Credits)
Unit 3: Marketing for Travel and Tourism (15 Credits)
Unit 4: Financial Skills for Hospitality and Tourism (15 Credits)

Entry Requirements

Learners must fulfil the following criteria to be permitted entry on to the course:
  • NCF/QCF Level 3 or A Level or
  • Any overseas qualification deemed equivalent to one of the above.

Assessment

Assessment is through an individual assignment. In order to pass this qualification, a learner must pass an assignment of each unit according to awarding organisation requirements.
